3640.1. (a) A naturopathic doctor may provide supervision and direction to a licensed vocational nurse in accordance with Sections 2859 and 2859.1.
(b) A naturopathic doctor shall not direct a licensed vocational nurse under their employment to take any action outside the scope of practice of the naturopathic doctor.

IMPORTANT NOTE: LVNs are prohibited from administering glutathione injections and PRP therapies. NDs shall not direct or allow an LVN to provide treatments that are prohibited within the LVNs scope. NDs who are found to violate these laws may be disciplined for aiding and abetting and for unprofessional conduct and could potentially lose their ability to supervise under their license.
